Disconcertingly, this summer series of races starts on the first Sunday in March when the weather isn’t usually much like summer. Last year we had a course up on the Graig and it snowed, but this year it will be back to a variation of the old course between the High School Fields and Ystrad bridge. Quite likely the curious fence in the playing fields will force us to go through the stream both on the way out and on the way back which will add variety. I’m hoping that our IT wizards might put up a map of the course on facebook?
Handicap Route
Sunday March 5th at 10am on the Leisure Centre fields is the time and place. With all the new members, the handicapping may be a trifle erratic for the first one but all the usual sleights of hand and bias against Tony B (he always complains but keeps on turning up) will reappear given one or two races. Obviously if your name doesn’t appear below and you want to run, please scream on facebook. Those of you running with the Intermediate group on Monday nights should be interested, I hope.
