Amazingly bright sunshine after so many stormy weeks! I thought there might be a big turnout but it seems that my comments about the extreme mud may have put many off. It is possible that people might want a change of course? The woods above the quarry again have been suggested – we did 2016 up there, though it is much colder which is harder for the timekeepers. Talking of whom, I am very grateful to Rob again for his immaculate timing and presentation of results – he did every race last year and I didn’t expect such commitment again. It does make a difference to how well things go. Also thanks to Elen, Fred, Ian, and John for supporting Rob. Anyway it meant that I got to run this one unexpectedly and so can give the excuse that I didn’t have my racing shoes……..or the race preparation…….or a warm-up…….and of course a ridiculous handicap!
